There is a frenetic calm in the capital city. It is a calm that comes with this city having witnessed too many governments come and go with rhythmic instability borne of yawn-inducing predictability. As the PTI government prepares to pack up its bags – yes the inevitable has sunk in – Islamabad reclines back to witness the cyclical process of our familiar ‘pass-the-power’ game.

I think the "blood in the eyes" is fairly ubiquitous to the incoming opponents, just that some have openly bared their fists like Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, while others like Zardari will be cloaking their daggers. Nonetheless, it's sad how much hatred this one govt. has infused in our nation on every level. I'm in Sydney and there are friends I am afraid to talk to as they are emotionally unstable at the moment due to digesting too much propaganda. May Allah protect our Pakistan and its people.
